WordPress iPhone App Overview

IMG_0240.JPG

The WordPress for iPhone/iPod Touch app officially made it’s way into the iTunes App Store tonight so instead of sleeping I grabbed a bottle of Boylan’s Natural Cane Cola, downloaded the app to my iPod Touch and shot this quick overview of the application. If you want to try it yourself you can download it here.

What do you think of the WordPress App? Are there features you were hoping for or would like to see in future versions? Do you think you would ever even blog from a mobile device?

I was surprised / disappointed that the app didn’t include comment moderation. Aside from posting approving/spamming comments is the one thing I do most.

I was a little disappointed initially but after using it for a bit I realized it does a great job of writing and posting and that’s the important part.

We can always continue to moderate comments with the mobile admin plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mobileadmin/). The real beauty of this app is that it allows you to save posts locally and make a post with photos quickly and easily.

Nice overview. I haven’t had the chance to check it out yet as I need to update my version of Wordpress, so this was a nice little run down of its features :)
