Hahlo MenuExtra Using Fluid

Todd Ditchendorf (the developer of Fluid) put together an excellent screencast about creating a SSB for Hahlo that lives in your menu bar. MenuExtra SSB’s are one of the newer features of fluid and allow for a wide range of exciting new uses.

Browse Threadless Sales with Fluid
From time to time Threadless slashes the prices on their beautiful and witty t-shirts to prices as low as $10. I tend to hold out for these sales then buy a bunch at once. One of those sales is going on right now and I decided to take about 2 minutes to whip up a Fluid SSB to browse through the hundreds of sale items. Happy browsing!

Amazingly Beautiful Apple-Style Screenshots

I took notice of Josh Pyle’s beautiful screenshot styles when he posted about the new Jive site he had taken part in creating.
Lucky for us Josh posted an excellent tutorial showing the steps necessary to achieve this effect. The method takes a bit of work but the results are well worth it and non-destructive to boot. Definitley tucking this one in my back pocket for later.
